Admittedly this is stage combat done by two stunt-people, however, the dodges, parries, catch, and disarm of the sword are very accurate. Check out Bones episode The Princess and the Pear (20:00 min) for a short example of open hand -vs- sword.
On Burn Notice (The Hunter air date 7/16/2009) the main character Michael describes several different survival tactics when faced with outnumbering opposition. He covered the importance of dividing the opposing forces to make them weaker, how important it is tactically to disable the commander of the unit, and, last but not least, to also keep in mind threats you cannot see (dehydration, exhaustion, and nerves).
It was a very interesting episode that described how basic military tactics and survival skills can be utilized in “the real world”.
