About Our Retreat
Polaris’s Summer Weapons Retreat covers five days in which adult participants come together to focus on martial arts, build community, and push themselves to learn and grow.
Both new and experienced martial artists are encouraged to attend. New students focus on our white belt track, learning the basics of knife, sword and shield sparring, and melee separate from our upper level students. By Saturday (day 4) of the retreat, new students are fully integrated with the upper belts for workshops and melee activities.
Returning students continue their learning with Polaris at the camp with workshops, sparring & drill lessons, goal time, video analysis, and melees. Evening activities include various kinds of sparring and melees to encourage students to apply the lessons and techniques they learned throughout the day.
Location
Our 2025 retreat will be located at the Colombiere Conference & Retreat Center. Colombiere offers outdoor spaces for training and sparring as well as indoor meeting rooms for discussions and lesson.
Accommodations will be in single or double rooms, based on students’ choice. All rooms have a sink in the room with the common use of restrooms and showers located across the hallway. Bed linens and towels are provided.
The meals will be provided by the retreat center.

- Early Bird Single Room Cost – $678
- Regular Registration – Ends March 1, 2025
- Double Room Cost – $598 per person
- Single room Cost – $703

- You can print and sign our Waiver and Media Waver. We will also have paper copies at camp to sign if you don’t have access to a printer.
